Boban Marjanovic, the efficiency god himself, is ready to suit up for his first full season with the LA Clippers. His name alone strikes fear into the hearts of opposing bigs. His gargantuan frame even intimidates Anthony Davis. Rumor has it that Metta World Peace is afraid of him.

He’s also a huge-hearted seven-footer that has a passion for dancing and making his teammates laugh. He’s an enigma, and he’s also one of the NBA’s most efficient players of all time.

Boban’s strengths are evident. Given his frame and high basketball IQ, Marjanovic can get about any shot he wants under the basket and can turn anything away on the defensive side of the floor. That’s only part of the reason why he averaged 5.9 points and 4.4 rebounds in only 8.3 minutes per game last season. He’s actually too good.

Unfortunately, it takes a lot of oil to power something as big as Marjanovic, and his stamina suffers because of it. The 30-year-old big logged more than 20 minutes of court time just once last season, and he never played more than 15 as a member of the Clippers.

Marjanovic also struggles to cover the more modern centers of today’s NBA. His ridiculous reach keeps him within range in half-court sets, but Boban lacks the speed to keep up with the likes of Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns, and is best suited to play more minutes against guys like Nikola Jokic and Hassan Whiteside.

However, Boban has been seen practicing his three-point shot lately…
