The Los Angeles Clippers enter this season with one of the deepest rosters in the NBA. Let’s continue to break it down by looking at the power forwards.

The Los Angeles Clippers never had quite enough depth during the Lob City era. They were forced to rely mainly on minimum contract players to fill out their roster every season.

However, their circumstances have changed drastically. Chris PaulBlake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan have all departed leaving the Clippers without a true superstar, but also leaving them with the most depth they have ever had.

In fact, the Clippers have too much depth. (Is that even possible?) They have at least 17 players who are capable of helping them win basketball games this season. Eventually, someone will get cut in order to trim the roster down.

During the past couple of weeks, I have been analyzing each position group on the roster. Who is the starter? Is it a competition? Who is the backup? Who is on the bubble? I am going to go break it all down for you and let you know who has a chance to still be on the roster come the first game of the season.

I already analyzed the team’s point guard, shooting guard, and small forward rotations. So, I am now moving on to the power forward position. The Clippers only have two players on their roster listed at power forward. Johnathan Motley is a power forward, but he will spend the majority of the season in the G-League since he is on a two-way deal. However, I expect small forwards Danilo Gallinari and Luc Mbah a Moute to see minutes at the 4 in smaller lineups.

This position has two established veterans. Let’s get started.
