Los Angeles Clippers’ rookie Shai Gilgeous-Alexander impressed us yet again last night as he threw down a posterizing dunk in the team’s final preseason game.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Los Angeles Clippers top pick of the 2018 draft, added a poster to his resume last night as the team played their final preseason game.

Gilgeous-Alexander has already shown a lot in his five preseason games with the team, putting up 9.2 points on 47.5% shooting, 3.8 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals. The rookie justified the Clippers trading up one spot in the draft in order to take him and why Jerry West seems so enamored with him.

Before last night, both the the team and fans have seen everything they could possibly want out of Shai thus far in his young career…or so we thought.

Just look at that dunk! The 6’6″ point guard put not one, but two of Maccabi Haifa’s players on the poster.

We already knew prior to the draft that SGA was capable of attacking the rim using his length and athleticism, but I don’t think a lot of us predicted he would be able to pull off plays like this.

Gilgeous-Alexander already has made an impact on Doc Rivers, who earlier this week stated that he would be getting regular rotation minutes based on his performances in the preseason.

SGA could be the point guard of the future for the franchise, but for now it seems like he will be resigned to heading up the second unit.

It is possible that Gilgeous-Alexander takes over one of the two starting guard positions this season, especially if Avery Bradley ends up moving at the trade deadline.

In the meantime, Clippers fans hope to see more highlights like this from the rookie as he comes off the bench with the likes of Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell.

The three of them could combine to become one of the best bench units in the league and won’t be much of a drop off from the starting unit.

With the regular season starting on Wednesday for the Clippers, get ready for more of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
