Expected Role

Marjanovic will be the Clippers secret weapon at times, provided it is a favorable match-up for the big man. Head coach Doc Rivers told the LA Times that he is not even certain when the best time to put Boban in really is.

"“I really believe we don’t really know half the time. Sometimes you can predict if they have a certain lineup that he’ll be effective, but there are some nights I’m going to throw him out there [and] I don’t know, and neither does the other team, and it’s a game of chicken. But his size is a factor.”"

With Doc still uncertain, it becomes hard to predict his role. Yes, he put up big numbers in his lone start of the preseason versus the Nuggets, but we already know that Jokic is a match-up that he can handle.

Boban may see two or three games in a row when he doesn’t touch the court and then weeks when he plays every night. All in all, expect him to earn right around 10 minutes per game and to average about six points per game which would be slightly above his career average.

No matter how much he does end up playing, fans will love Boban and are looking forward to a full year of the big man.
