Player Profile : Jerome Robinson
By Thomas Fenn
As the season gets closer and closer, we take a look at the Los Angeles Clippers roster. Next up is rookie Jerome Robinson.
With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander slated as the Clippers first pick in the 2018 NBA draft, Clipper fans were surprised at first when the name ‘Jerome Robinson‘ was called at number 13. With notable names like Michael Porter Jr and Lonnie Walker still available, the Clippers brain trust instead went after the 6’5 guard out of Boston College. During the NBA draft process SI’s Jake Fisher noted Clippers consultant Jerry West‘s interest in the Boston College guard.
Robinson’s prowess as a scorer was evident during his tenure as a star at Boston College. This culminated with a 20.7 point per game while shooting 40% from three. Robinson’s offensive arsenal was on full display as Boston College toppled then number 1 seed Duke Blue Devils.
Offensive Arsenal
A senior year that saw Robinson rocket upwards on draft boards was largely due to his versatility on the offensive end. A 40% three point shot that set the base for Robinson saw him develop an aggressive of the dribble game as well during his college career.
