Season Prediction

Teodosic’s role on the team will be an interesting storyline to follow leading up to the regular season. As of today, he seems buried on the depth chart behind Beverley, Bradley, Williams, and Gilgeous-Alexander.

Gilgeous-Alexander is the clear future point guard of the future for the Clippers, so Doc Rivers will want to give him consistent minutes. Williams is arguably the best player on the team and will certainly have a major role this season.

There have been trade rumors about Beverley, but I doubt that the Clippers will move him. The only clear path to minutes for Teodosic is if he outplays Bradley and takes his place in the starting lineup, which does not seem likely.

If the Clippers trade another guard and Teodosic can find minutes, I expect him to average around 10 points and 5 assists per game while shooting 40% from three.

If not, Teodosic will probably be traded to a team that needs a point guard like the Phoenix Suns. He is too talented to not receive minutes and should be able to contribute to another team.

However if we have learned anything in the Jerry West era, it is to expect the unexpected.
