Jawun Evans

Jawun Evans is another player that suffers from the same problems which plague Desi Rodriguez: Evans needs more time to develop, and has far too many names above his own to make an impact on the LA Clippers roster this season.

LA acquired Evans from the Philadelphia 76ers on draft night 2017 in exchange for cash considerations. In his debut NBA season, the 21-year-old rookie played in 48 games for the Clippers, averaging 4.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

Evans also started four games for Los Angeles, averaging 9.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists in those situations. His best game came against the Washington Wizards, in which Evans outplayed five-time All-Star John Wall.

The good news for Evans though, like Rodriguez, is that the Clippers are able to option up to four cut players to their G-League affiliate, meaning Evans would likely stay within LA’s system. However, because of the way in which this rule works, Evans would technically be a “free agent” and would be able to be called-up by any of the 30 NBA franchises.

Prediction: Cut
