3) Forwards on Fire

Arguably the best part of the night was seeing the potential deadliness of Tobias Harris and Danilo Gallinari playing alongside each other. The two forwards were on fire on offense from the tip.

Gallinari ended his night with 22 points on 8 of 11 shooting, six rebounds, four assists and two blocks. A healthy Gallo can be an amazing offensive player and he is often forgotten when talking about the league’s best scorers due to his injury history. So far, Gallo has looked fresh and fans can only hope he is able to keep it up and the injury bug away.

Meanwhile, Harris ended the night with a game high 23 points. He also nabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists and had a block. Harris spent the summer working on his shot and it showed with him hitting on four of his five attempts from three point land. It is a contract year for Harris, so he could elevate his game to another level while working for that next contract. His performance was solid enough that it prompted Don Maclean of the Clippers broadcast team to say that Harris may be one of the most, if not the, underrated players in the league.

This duo has potential and only time will tell if it can be sustained for the whole season. If so, a playoff berth seems like a real possibility.
