Comparing the LA Clippers Roster to Past and Present NHL Players
Luc Mbah A Moute: P.K. Subban (Nashville Predators)
Luc Mbah A Moute would be tied with Wesley Johnson as the longest tenured Clippers if he hadn’t have broken service due to his one-year stint in Houston last season.
Anyways, he is back, and LA Clippers fans should be excited because he is surely bringing his defense and leadership with him. P.K. Subban has also been one of the top defense men in his sport as well, winning the James Norris Memorial Trophy (top Defenseman) in 2012-2013 for the Montreal Canadiens.
Aside from outstanding defensive play from both of these men, they are responsible for something much more important off the court/ice. Mbah A Moute’s charity helps helps children from poor countries around the world believe in themselves and helps them succeed, no matter how bleak their situation may be. One year after signing an eight-year, $72 million dollar contract in the summer of 2014 (Subban’s $9 million per year is one of the highest salaries in the NHL) P.K. Subban pledged to donate $10 million, or just over 15% of his $72 million contact to The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Both of these men are doing tremendous work outside of their sport. If you would like to visit Luc’s website, you can do so here. You can visit P.K.’s website here, or if you would like to donate to P.K.’s charity, you can do so here.
