A prodigy in the coaching department, the fairly young Brad Stevens shouldered the burden of carrying the Boston Celtics to successive Conference Finals. Losing star talent in Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward in the regular season due to injury, taking the Cavaliers to a 7 game series in itself was a remarkable feat. Meticulous in his methods, the head coach of the All Star game has been touted as a natural heir to the illustrious Greg Popovic. Acclaimed as an elite defensive coach, he’d devised a system to deem the dynamic duo of Embiid and Simmons rather ineffective, hence drubbing the Philadelphia 76ers in a five game series. Finally setting a winning culture following a rebuilding phase, the Brad Stevens led group could emerge as a menace to the Golden State Warriors in the coming season. Likely to be key in a potential title charge, he remains an invaluable piece for the future of the most successful franchise in NBA history.
