Trade #3 *

LA Clippers receive: G Jimmy Butler

Minnesota Timberwolves receive: G Avery Bradley, G Milos Teodosic, 2021 First Round Pick

This final trade comes with a caveat, hence the asterisk. The Los Angeles Clippers cannot move Avery Bradley until January 15 since he just signed a contract with the team this summer.

This move, while not bad for the Clippers, seems unlikely since Minnesota will want to rid themselves of Butler as soon as possible. Still, it’s worth exploring if the Timberwolves can’t get another deal done.

Thibs is familiar with Bradley from his days in Boston and would welcome his defense to the Wolves starting unit. (Noticing a trend with what we assume Minnesota wants?) Bradley does also provide some semblance of offense which will be needed with the departure of Butler.

Teodosic is thrown in to match salaries and clear another guard off the roster for the Clips. The first round pick is also thrown in to sweeten the pot, but if this trade is happening in January, the Wolves may be desperate enough to take the deal without the pick included.
