No. 5: DeAndre Jordan

Franchise Averages: 9.4 PTS, 10.7 REB, 1.7 BLK, .673 eFG%

As mentioned on the previous slide, DeAndre Jordan will always hold a special place in our hearts. He’s the all-time leader in games played for the LA Clippers, and his transformation from a no-name second-round pick to All-Star center and Olympic Gold champion has surely been enjoyable for Clippers fans from all over.

But now, our extra large adult son has moved on to Dallas, and it’s time we review the contributions he made to the LA Clippers franchise. And based on them, five feels like an appropriate ranking.

Jordan was a long-time staple of the starting rotation in Los Angeles, starting every game he played for the team dating back to the beginning of the 2011-2012 season. A championed rebounder, Jordan led the league twice in rebounds per game, hauling in a career-high 15.0 per game in 2014.

DJ made his mark mostly on the defensive side of the floor, but that’s not to say that’s the only place where he did his damage. During the Lob City era, Jordan was arguably the league’s best dunker, and consistently threw down more lobs than any other player in the league. And of course, who could forget the time he flat-out murdered Brandon Knight?

It’s hard to imagine Jordan falling out of the top-five anytime soon — in fact, it’s more likely that he moves up as the years go by.
