No. 6 Randy Smith

Franchise Averages: 17.8 PTS, 4.2 REB, 4.9 AST

Before DeAndre Jordan became the franchise leader in games played, Randy Smith was the original iron man. From 1972 to 1980, Smith played all 82 games of each and every season. Oh, and he was a pretty good player, too.

Smith was a 20+ point per game scorer in four of his nine seasons with the Buffalo Braves and San Diego Clippers, and was named an All-Star twice. His best statistical season was the 1977-1978 campaign, when he logged 24.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game.

Smith also helped lead the Braves to the playoffs three separate times, all in consecutive seasons. He was a vital piece of each run, playing upwards of 38 minutes per game in each series, and scoring nearly 23 points per game in the final run.

The “Iron Man” holds a number of records with the LA Clippers, including field goals, field goal attempts, minutes played, and total points. With the recent breakdown of the roster, it looks like those records are safe for quite a while.
