LOS ANGELES, CA – APRIL 10: Luc Mbah a Moute

Number 3: Luc Mbah A Moute

Luc Mbah A Moute was a key role player for the Houston Rockets last season as they made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals. This year he returns back to Los Angeles to play under former Head Coach Doc Rivers.

Luc’s size and frame pose as a threat for opposing offensive threats. He can defend guards, forwards and sometimes even center’s in small-ball situations.

It is great to have Prince Luc back in the fold with his leadership, high IQ, and veteran presence that the Clippers need this season. He should be able to mentor and point out things to the young guys including Thornwell, Evans, SGA, Robinson and others.

If nothing else, Mbah A Moute will certainly be good for some savvy defensive performances this season.

Number 2: Mike Scott

When the Clippers announced their first free-agent signing of the off-season, no one expected it to be Forward Mike Scott, formerly of the Wizards and Hawks.

Scott was very productive for the Wizards last year as his offensive game was unreal. He served primarily as a stretch big but when the Wizards gave him the ball he put in the hoop instantly. More importantly, Scott was able to knock down an impressive 40% of his three-point attempts.

Scott might prove to be the best free agent signing from this past year’s free agent class when it’s all said and done after this year.

The duo of Scott and Montrezl Harrell will have defenses struggling to contain both. Harrell will work inside the paint, while Scott stretches the floor with his shooting ability and length.

Scott will take advantage of his minutes and help the Clippers win some ball games this season.
