Los Angeles Clippers: Three Goals for Milos Teodosic this season
By Paul Tooke
Goal #2: Increase stats in all categories
This goal is highly dependent on how much time Teodosic plays per game, and that’s up to Doc Rivers rather than the Serbian guard. Teodisic can, however, do his best to impress at practice, in the weight room, etc., resulting in him receiving more minutes.
Last season, Teodosic played 25.2 minutes per game, stacking 9.5 points, 4.6 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.5 steals during that time. During Teodosic’s 2016-2017 season in the Euroleague, he averaged 16 points and nearly 7 assists per game in just 2.4 more minutes per game. There is a large talent difference between the NBA and Euroleague, but any improvement in numbers should be an obvious goal for the player.
The 2017-2018 season was Teodosic’s first in the NBA. At 30 years of age, he was technically a rookie, making many of us believe he could make a run for the Rookie of the Year award. Now that he has gotten a taste of what it’s like to play in the NBA, his shooting percentages, and overall comfort on the court should lead to a natural increase in numbers.
