Goal #1 : Build off strong summer and increase numbers all around

Last year when he started the season off with the Detroit Pistons (48 Games), Small Forward Tobias Harris averaged 18.1 Points, 5.1 Rebounds and 2.0 Assists.

He also shot 45.1% from the field and 40.9% from beyond the arc. Those numbers would all go up after he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Tobias would go on to average 19.3 Points, 6.0 Rebounds and 3.1 Assists. He would shot 47.3% from the field and 41.4% from the three-point line.

I truly believe Tobias will keep this trend going upward into the new season. The fact that he competed against some of the NBA’s best and turned down a lucrative offer this summer means we might see some Career High stat lines from him this year.

Expect to see his scoring average drift slightly over 20 points per game as he is the team’s first option. With Danilo Gallinari likely providing spacing in the starting lineup, Harris will have the ability to both drive to the hoop and knock down open shots.

Being the first option means we will also likely see his assist numbers go up. With Patrick Beverley and Avery Bradley as the starting guards, playmaking will likely be shared. Harris will have to make sure he is making the right basketball play on each possession.

If Tobias outperforms expectations he may very well receive the max-contract he deserves.
