Game 56: Clippers @ Indiana Pacers. February 7, 2019

Tough match up for the Clips’ as I am a firm believer that the Indiana Pacers are trending toward the right direction, potentially finishing top three or four seed when the season comes to an end. Also, it benefits the Pacers most to close out the break very strong, that way it ensures a smooth transition to the post season where they can expand their game even more.

At this point of their season, the Pacers will not let their foot off the gas pedal and will keep focus on the task at hand. Pacers at home, while the Clippers are still on a long road trip is cause for concern. Although personally I like how the LA Clippers match up with the Pacers, and I fully believe they can upset the Pacers in any situation, I don’t think they can during this long road trip.

At this time players are practically begging to hit the All-Star break after a long first stretch of the season, using the last couple of games to rehab injury, keep healthy, and play it safe while not burning out.

Prediction: Clippers will be tired and over their road trip by this point. Additionally, some players might be resting or participating in some of the events during All-Star weekend, which is distracting. For this reason only is why the Clippers will fall to the Pacers this time around.
