Game 55: Clippers @ Charlotte Hornets. February 5th, 2019

Finally a day of rest is here and for the next five games up until the All-Star break, that is how the schedule goes for LA. They will have game days then one day of rest to travel and play somewhere else the next night. The Charlotte Hornets are the first stop of many in these games where there is one day of rest and travel. Even with the off days, this will still be an exhausting road trip. Fortunately, this match up is theirs to win.

Face it, the Hornets are heading in the wrong direction from two years ago when they were a playoff team. This will not change this season either, and the Hornets at best will be an eighth seed.

With the one day of rest and coming off a tough loss, the Clippers will be rested and motivated to not let this turn into a losing streak. LA’s bench will be the answer here as they will outscore Charlotte’s second unit, thus earning the Los Angeles Clippers a good win.

Prediction: Clippers stay relevant in the race and beat on teams they expect to beat. The Charlotte Hornets are one of few teams.
