Last season: Spurs won series 2-1
Here come the Spurs, always a formidable opponent for the Clippers.
After losing two fan-favorites in Tony Parker (now on the Charlotte Hornets) and Kawhi Leonard to the aforementioned Raptors, San Antonio is left in somewhat of an identity crisis. Not to mention, last season the Spurs had quite the scare that they could miss the playoffs for the first time in over 20 years.
They added a promising young guard in Lonnie Walker via the draft and got superstar DeMar DeRozan from the Raptors. Expect the Spurs to continue their streak of excellence in the upcoming season.
Both teams come into this matchup with one day of rest. Expect a competitive matchup between the two.
Prediction: Home court advantage will be a factor in San Antonio, and Los Angeles will fall to the Spurs.
