Game 26: LA Clippers at Phoenix Suns

Monday, December 10 at 6:00 PM

Last season: Clippers swept series 4-0

The 21-win Suns team of last year could be on the brink of competing for a playoff spot this year.

Phoenix re-signed their star, Devin Booker, to a five-year extension worth $158 million. A big payday for their only source of hope in recent years. Additionally the Suns drafted Deandre Ayton with the top overall pick in this year’s draft and acquired Mikal Bridges in the draft via trade.

Additionally, Pheonix made a surprising splash in free agency when they signed Trevor Ariza away from the Houston Rockets. Ariza has been a key wingman to the Rockets over the years and should provide the Suns with a reliable starting three-and-D wing.

The Clippers are coming into this matchup with one day of rest, whereas the Suns will have two days between games.

Prediction: Despite promising offseason moves from the Suns, the Clippers will be the superior team. Our duo of Beverly and Bradley will shut down Booker, while Harrell and Gortat will outwork and outsmart Ayton. LA will come away with the win.
