Los Angeles Clippers 2018-2019 Schedule Breakdown: November
Game 10: LA Clippers vs Minnesota Timberwolves
Monday, November 5 at 7:30 PM
Last season: Timberwolves won series 4-0
After stealing two wins on the road against Philadelphia and Orlando, expect a dud at home against Minnesota.
The Timberwolves didn’t do anything to improve their starting rotation, and they didn’t need to. Karl-Anthony Towns is somehow still just 22 years old, Jimmy Butler is very good, and efficiency aside, Andrew Wiggins is still scoring roughly 20 points per game.
Instead, Minnesota went the bench route, ditching Jamal Crawford and selecting Keita Bates-Diop and Josh Okogie in the NBA Draft. Each made a significant impact in Summer League, and should perform well at the NBA level.
The Clippers struggled enough with Minnesota last season, dropping all four games. That’s not to say the same will happen again this season, but with no one to stop Towns in the paint, things could turn ugly rather quickly.
Once again, the LA bench is stronger, but this time it won’t be enough. Even though Minnesota is playing on the second game of a back-to-back, playing ridiculously high minutes with little rest is something their starters are used to.
