Game 18: LA Clippers vs Memphis Grizzlies

Friday, November 23 at 12:30 PM

Last season: Series split 2-2

Memphis was hit hard by the injury bug last season, forcing point guard Mike Conley out of 70 games. After David Fizdale was fired, the Grizzlies entered full tank mode, winning just 22 games in total.

They used their first round pick on Jaren Jackson Jr., a forward that can shoot the three, block shots in the paint, and grab boards like a center.

The Grizz also added San Antonio’s Kyle Anderson this summer, a savvy signing that should propel them further up the Western Conference standings.

Therefore, I expect the Grizzlies to be better this season, but still not “good”. There are still numerous things that they must work out before they can compete again.

LA and Memphis always play physical, tough games, and we shouldn’t expect that to change anytime soon. The Clippers will win this game, but I wouldn’t be shocked if the series is split again in 2018-2019.
