Los Angeles Clippers 2018-19 Schedule Breakdown: October
October 23 – @ New Orleans Pelicans
The first road game of the year happens in New Orleans. The Pelicans, outside of losing DeMarcus Cousins, had a low-key but interesting summer.
The team added big men Jahlil Okafor and Julius Randle. Randle should fit nicely next to Anthony Davis on the offensive end and taking a flyer on Okafor makes sense. They also brought in Elfrid Payton after Rajon Rondo left for the Los Angeles Lakers.
This Anthony Davis lead team will likely be right in the middle of the playoff mix after finishing sixth in the conference last season. Still, barring an explosive game from Davis, the Clippers should be able to steal one on the road.
October 26 – @ Houston Rockets
These guys again so soon? The Clippers do have a couple of days off between playing in New Orleans and in Houston, but I don’t see it making a huge difference. The Rockets get their revenge here. Don’t expect another locker room fight, but the beatdown will happen on the court.
Let’s just hope Wesley Johnson can stay on his feet this time.
