Clippers Will Play Rockets in Their First Nationally Televised Game of the Season

Well, we know one Clippers’ game so far for the 2018-2019 season, which is a nationally televised game on NBATV. It is a match-up against the Houston Rockets on  Sunday, Oct 21st 2018.

We’re all Clippers fans. You know where you were when you found out the Rockets were so upset by our Clippers beating them during the 2017-2018 season, that they were led by Chris Paul, through the secret tunnels between locker rooms at Staple Center, to “confront” our scrappy Clippers.

Well now it’s time for the first rematch of the season and we can only hope it’s as exciting as it was then, because we are now without the main agitators in Blake Griffin and Austin Rivers. We still have former Rockets Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell, who hopefully , along with the rest of our guys, get amped to play.

Oh… and we’ve stolen back Luc Mbah a Moute. Time for “Prince Luc” to show the Rockets the kind of defense they let slip through their fingers.

While they might have been the better defensive team last year, we might actually have the edge this year. In addition to Luc, we have Pat Beverly and Avery Bradley returning from injury. The Rockets have chosen to replace their loss on the wing of Luc (and Trevor Ariza) with Carmelo Anthony. While he’s no defensive stalwart, Houston is hoping he can find some of that “hoodie Melo” magic and bring them some buckets. Maybe playing alongside his buddy Chris Paul will help motivate him.

While our fanbase at this point will have already seen our new guys play to the smooth sounds of Ralph Lawler, this will be the first chance for the rest of NBA fans to check out our new guys: Shia Gigeious Alexander and Jerome Robinson. Also, I’m sure some fans might be curious to see Marcin Gortat and Mike Scott in a Clipper uniform.

It’s going to be a good game, so make sure you tune into NBATV on Sunday Oct. 21 2018 to watch the Los Angeles Clippers face off against the Houston Rockets in what we hope will be another classic.
