LeBron James – 2010

It is often forgotten among all the hoopla with LeBron James original decision that he was not choosing between only the Cavaliers and the Heat. LeBron met with six teams during the 2010 Free Agency period: the Cavaliers, Heat, Knicks, Bulls, Nets, and Clippers. New York was rumored as a major landing spot  because LeBron loved the city, even wearing New York Yankees sneakers.

At the time, the Clippers had All-Star center Chris Kaman, number one pick power forward Blake Griffin, up and coming star shooting guard Eric Gordon, and former All-Star point guard Baron Davis. LeBron could have fit himself at the small forward slot and they could have been immediate contenders for the title on paper. Instead, he chose Miami,  which was the better offer considering he could team up with two other superstars.
