The Los Angeles Clippers are no stranger to roster changes, and now their coaching staff has made a slight change as well. Per Adrian Wojnarowski, Casey Hill will be moving up from coaching the Clippers’ G League team to help with the Clippers’ NBA team.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Los Angeles Clippers have promoted coach Casey Hill from head coach of the Agua Caliente Clippers to part of Doc Rivers’ staff.

The Agua Caliente Clippers were introduced to the G League last year and finished the season with a 23-27 record. During that season, stars from their roster such as Tyrone Wallace and C.J. Williams made enough progress to join the LA Clippers roster in the NBA.

Before coaching the Agua Caliente Clippers, Hill had the same position for the Santa Cruz Warriors and led them to a G League title in 2015.

Hill left the Warriors’ G League team in hopes of landing a coaching position on an NBA team. While he joined the Clippers’ G League team shortly after stating that, his goal of reaching the NBA has now been accomplished.

Doc Rivers’ eye for talent has seen something in Casey Hill that he wants the Clippers’ latest roster to experience. We can look forward to the improvements that the team will make with the assistance of Hill.

On a final note, current members of the LA Clippers that Hill has coached include Jawun Evans, Sindarius Thornwell, Tyrone Wallace, and C.J. Williams. The chemistry between coach Hill and those players will hopefully show as they progress as relatively new NBA players.

The roster changes that the Clippers have seen have resulted in a new freshness and overall energy. While change can be scary, for the Clippers, it’s a necessary process in order to eventually compete in today’s NBA.
