We take a look at each member of the LA Clippers’ Summer League roster and evaluate their overall performance, including star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The LA Clippers finished up their Summer League campaign late last week, in a loss to the Atlanta Hawks. And while rookie stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jerome Robinson weren’t active in that game, they made their presence felt when they were.

Finishing with a record of 2-4, the team left something to be desired. Most of the games weren’t close battles, which was great at times and disappointing at others. The best of them was arguably the first, a down-to-the-wire defeat at the hands of the Golden State Warriors.

For the most part, we got what we expected from the roster. Gilgeous-Alexander looked tremendous, Robinson looked the part, and Sindarius Thornwell‘s experience was evident. However, as always, there were some surprises.

Jawun Evans, unfortunately, failed to impress. And now that the Clippers have committed to keeping Milos Teodosic, Evans’ roster spot may be in question. There’s simply no room on their guard-heavy roster for him right now.

On the other hand, Vince Hunter consistently looked like one of the hardest workers out there, and even drew praise from NBA legend Vince Carter. He’d be a solid pickup for any team looking to add a player via two-way contract.

Our grades will be broken down into three categories — Guards, Wings, and Bigs — and will be based on both statistical and visual analysis. Also, assume that all players start with a grade C.

First up, the guards.
