The Returners

Sindarius Thornwell and Jawun Evans, the two sophomore players for the Clippers, may need a bigger role today. Thornwell only scored two points yesterday in 23 minutes and Evans did not score in 10 minutes of play.

The Clippers want to see development out of both, especially Evans who is likely flirting with playing in the G-League this year due to the amount of guards currently on the Clippers roster. If Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues to outplay him, Evans could be sent down or, or at the least, will be relegated to the end of the bench.

Thornwell has looked good in previous summer league games, but he came off the bench yesterday as opposed to starting. It may have been a rough adjustment for him, so it’s possible he regroups today.
