The LA Clippers lost to the Golden State Warriors in their Summer League opener on Friday night, but there were several positive takeaways from the game.

LA Clippers basketball has finally returned, and boy did we miss it.

The Clippers kicked off their Las Vegas Summer League against the Golden State Warriors, and lost a nail biter that went down to the closing seconds. Ultimately, the Clippers fell, 71-77.

A majority of the roster looked very impressive and yes, especially our two rookies.

LA will continue their Summer League play tomorrow night at 8:00 PM PST, against the Sacramento Kings. The following night, they’ll take on the Houston Rockets at 8:30 PM. After that, the Summer League tournament will begin.

All 30 teams will be seeded appropriately in a winner-takes-all elimination bracket. Therefore, the Clippers are guaranteed to play at least four games in total in Vegas.

We’re focusing on the first game for now, though, and on what went well against the defending champions. Luckily for the Clippers, there wasn’t much that didn’t.
