PLAYA VISTA, CA – JUNE 25: Draft Pick Shai Gilgeous-Alexander /

No. 2 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, G, LA Clippers

2017-2018 Collegiate Stats: 14.4 points, 5.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds

If there’s one thing that most Clippers fans are anticipating ahead of Summer League, it’s watching the two new rookies play together. Luckily, the wait is finally over.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will take the floor tonight, likely as the team’s starter, and show everyone what they’ve been waiting for.

Gilgeous-Alexander is a point guard in the truest sense, although his size would make you think he’s a forward. Measuring in at 6-6 with a 7-0 wingspan, Gilgeous-Alexander uses his lanky frame to get around opponents with ease. Because of this, he’s a silky finisher at the rim.

He’ll need to develop a more impressive jumper to live up to his full potential at the NBA level, and that’ll come with time. For now, he’ll just need to focus on playing his best basketball and starting off on the right foot.
