Everything you need to know about the Clippers’ Summer League Roster
No. 27 Bogdan Bliznyuk, F, Eastern Washington
2017-2018 Stats: 21.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 39.8 3P%
6-6 Forward Bogdan Bliznyuk was a standout at Eastern Washington, winning Conference Player of the Year in his senior season. And while the Big Sky Conference isn’t all that competitive, his feats are noteworthy.
Bliznyuk was nearly a 50/40/90 club member last season, with splits of .566/.398/.902. The buck doesn’t stop there, though.
Considering his frame, he’s an excellent rebounder, and a great passing forward. For his Eastern Washington career, he’s earned an offensive rating of 114.8.
After reviewing some film, it became evident that Bliznyuk is more than just a deep-shooter. He possesses quite a bit of athleticism, and can throw down slams with authority when need be. He’s got solid post moves as well, and is rather agile.
What’s notable about Bliznyuk is his ball handling ability. While he shoots with his right, he’s very capable of dribbling with either hand and doesn’t favor one specifically. He’s an excellent catch-and-shoot player as well, so he won’t need to be a primary ball handler in Summer League.
Where Bliznyuk fails is on the defensive side of the floor, which is to be expected. He didn’t face many gifted players in the Big Sky Conference, and likely won’t defend larger wings well.
