LAS VEGAS, NV – JULY 9: David Michineau #7 /

No. 17 David Michineau, G, Levallois Metropolitans

2017-2018 Stats: 9.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists

One of Doc Rivers‘ biggest blunders as president of basketball operations was selecting French point guard David Michineau. The Clippers used one of their second-round picks in the 2016 NBA Draft on him, and he’s scarcely been seen since.

Michineau returns for the 2018 Summer League, although most aren’t sure why. The Clippers are very secure and satisfied with their current slew of guards, and it’s hard to imagine Michineau getting significant minutes.

Since he was drafted, though, Michineau has improved. He’s not at NBA level quite yet (and it’s likely he never will be), but his shooting efficiency has certainly improved.

If anything, Michineau will provide a slight scoring boost off the bench. Just don’t expect him to impress.
