No. 4: January 20, 2018 — Clippers 113, Jazz 125

Lou’s Line: 31 points, 10 steals, 7 assists, 2 rebounds

Williams started 19 games this season due to injuries, and he always made the most of the opportunity. This particular game against the Utah Jazz was no exception.

The LA Clippers had 17 steals on the night, 10 of which came from Williams. He nearly had his first career triple-double because of them.

In addition to his new personal record, Williams broke a number of NBA records. First of all, he passed former Clipper and current Head Coach Doc Rivers as the franchise leader for most steals in a game. The previous high was held by Rivers, who recorded nine against the Phoenix Suns in November 1991 (in 18 minutes!!!).

More impressively, Williams became the fourth player in NBA history to record 30+ points and 10+ steals in a single game. Gus Williams did it first in February 1978, Alvin Robertson did it again in November 1986, and Michael Jordan was the last in January 1988.

That’s some elite company.
