Lou’s Line: 31 points, 9 assists, 3 rebounds

While this game will always be remembered for what happened after the fact, what happened on the court is just as memorable.

Blake Griffin and Austin Rivers were the clear on-court stars, although Rivers hadn’t dressed. Griffin was being overtly physical in Chris Paul‘s first game back in Los Angeles, and Rivers provided all the trash talk imaginable from the bench.

While Griffin arguably had the better game, Williams was the forgotten hero of the matchup. He went for 31 points, nine assists, and three rebounds, connecting on 12/19 shots from the floor.

After the game, in an attempt to shade Griffin, Paul talked about how Williams was the best player on the team. Our heads were elsewhere at the time, but maybe he was onto something. After all, Lou was the game’s top scorer.
