#12 pick: Trey Lyles

Trey Lyles was selected 12th overall by the Utah Jazz in the 2015 NBA Draft out of Kentucky.  Lyles two biggest assets are his height and his shooting. Unfortunately for Lyles, his two biggest detriments have been no fault of his own. Those being him being selected one pick ahead of Devin Booker and being traded for the draft rights of Donovan Mitchell, both of which seem destined for NBA stardom. Lyles has found himself buried in the Nuggets big rotation and has yet to make a tangible impact.

The 2015 draft was notoriously top-heavy and and the Clippers have to be hoping their pick at 13 proves more fruitful than Lyles, who is nothing more than a floor-spacer off the bench at this point.

#13 pick: Devin Booker

The Phoenix Suns selected Devin Booker with the 13th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. Booker has been the steal of the 2015 draft class so far. He is an elite level scorer at only 21 years of age and has unlimited range from beyond the arc. The reigning Three-Point Contest champ is the youngest player ever to score 70 points in a single game.

A player with Booker’s potential falling to 13 is exactly why the Clippers having two lottery picks could be a franchise-changer in Los Angeles.
