Does the team position itself for the 2019 offseason?

This is a bit of a cop out, since these questions are for the 2018 offseason, but it is important to look at.

The answer to this question will be a little more clear once we get answers to the previous two questions. While there are some notable free agents this year, such as LeBron James and Paul George, 2019 is the year to snag a franchise player. Many superstar level guys will become available, including Kawhi Leonard.

If the Clippers are okay being mediocre to bad for another season while saving money, they can position themselves to make a play at a big name in 2019. Tobias Harris will be due a contract that summer as well, but the team will have his bird rights.

We’ll keep a close eye on what the team does on the upcoming months and keep you posted on what we believe the full plan seems to be!
