Fit
Front Office advisor Jerry West seems to have a thing for longer, more athletic, prospects that can also shoot the three. Robinson, then, makes perfect sense for Los Angeles — even more so though than A&M’s Williams.
If Jordan is indeed gone this summer, Robinson could immediately become the starter, so long as the Clippers don’t pick up a more established big in free agency. Otherwise, he could be spending his first few seasons coming off the bench.
Robinson’s upside makes him an intriguing prospect. If the Clippers do select him in the lottery, pairing him with Kentucky’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would be ideal. Both have elite length at their respective positions, and could become one of the league’s top duos in a matter of years.
