3. Atlanta Hawks: Marvin Bagley III, PF, Duke
Marvin Bagley came into his sole season at Duke as the projected number one overall pick. Despite his draft stock not being the highest in this draft class, Bagley is the real deal. The power forward is going to be an elite rebounder on whichever team takes him. Pair that with his unstoppable inside scoring (and flashes of three point range) and you’ve got yourself one of the best young bigs in the country. Atlanta is in a tricky spot. Do they keep the disgruntled point guard Dennis Schroder? If not, they might opt for more guard help. In the last two drafts, Atlanta has taken Taurean Prince as the future small forward and John Collins to be their future power forward. If Bagley were to become a real rim protector, he would be a great fit at center and make the future in Atlanta very promising.
