9. New York Knicks: Kevin Knox, SF/PF, Kentucky
The Knicks aren’t looking too great aside from Kristaps Porzingis. Tim Hardaway Jr and Joakim Noah are making far more money than they should, there depth is terrible, and they haven’t had a solid point guard since Jeremy Lin’s historic “Linsanity”. They currently have Frank Ntilikina and Emmanuel Mudiay, both of which are just as likely to be busts as they are to turn into a real piece. Aside from Porzingis and Courtney Lee, no one is making a shot from three. Enter Kevin Knox. Knox is a combo forward who is a shooter, can score inside, and improved significantly on his defense when at Kentucky. His play is very reminiscent of Tobias Harris. The Knicks need what they can get, and Knox when trying his hardest, can be very good. Hot take: he has the potential to be a Kevin Durant-lite. New York should roll the dice one Knox and hope they get a better pick next year.
