In today’s episode, I run through the results of the NBA Draft Lottery, talk about Sindarius Thornwell’s rookie year, and continue coverage of the Playoffs.

In case you missed it, the NBA Draft Lottery was on last night. The LA Clippers were awarded picks 12 and 13, as expected. Luckily for the team, this also gives them plenty more options to work with.

Had the Clippers lost Detroit’s pick, the odds of being able to make a trade on draft night would’ve greatly diminished. Instead, LA will be able to offer a team both lottery picks — and a player or two — for an established star. That is, if they so choose.

With two lottery picks, LA can draft two young potential stars in players like Collin Sexton or Mikal Bridges. Or, they could offer them both, plus Tobias Harris or Danilo Gallinari, for Kawhi Leonard.

It could end up being a decision that changes the look — and direction — of the franchise for years to come. Going after Leonard would immediately vault the Clippers into playoff contention, while drafting two young studs could prepare them for a run in the future, once the current dynasties have run their course.

This next month should certainly be an eventful one.

In addition to all the draft talk, I also went in depth on Sindarius Thonrwell‘s rookie campaign. I specifically praised his defensive ability, and talked a little more about what he could do with an expanded role. It’s unlikely he gets one, but his impressive end-of-season performance left me wondering.

To close the show, as usual, I continued my coverage of the Conference Finals. Last night, the Celtics took down the Cavaliers, taking a 2-0 lead heading into Game 3. Tonight, the Rockets will seek revenge over the Golden State Warriors.

In tomorrow’s show, I’ll be doing a lottery mock draft, talking about a few free agents the team should target, and continuing playoffs coverage.
