The free agents

DeAndre Jordan and Austin Rivers are among a lot of  players who can opt in or out of their contracts. Depending on what they decide to do this off-season, especially Jordan, will decide how much value and flexibility the Clippers will have.

Jordan has until June 29 to opt in or out of his current contract. While Austin, as well as Wesley Johnson, have until June 22 to make a decision. Newly acquired Clipper Avery Bradley is an unrestricted free agent who has a lot of interest around the league. Bradley is very valuable for as a primary defender.

Let us not forget about Montrezl Harrell who has been a monster all year long coming off the bench. His energy and competitiveness make him a solid choice to re-sign, considering Jordan’s future with the Clippers to be unsure.

Broderick Turner of the LA Times asked Clippers owner Steve Ballmer about this off-season.

"There are more things in motion this summer by far than any other summer since I’ve been the owner."

With zero progress being made in talks with Jordan, the front office is weighing out all possibilities for him. Obviously if he decides to walk, the organization will have much more cap availability. They can attract top free agents for the coming years. In fact, many supporters do not oppose this idea, preparing as much as they can for their future. Our very own Paul Tooke expands on why this is their best option.
