Sam Dekker: C+

Coming in, Sam Dekker was expected to be a knockdown shooter from deep and one heck of an athlete.

At season’s end, we recognize him as one of those two things.

Dekker shot a mere 16.7% from three-point range this season, making 10 of his 60 attempts. We couldn’t tell you why his shot just never caught on, especially since it looked so good when he played for the Houston Rockets.

What we can tell you though, is that Dekker really is a great athlete. There’s a chance that he threw down more reverse jams than anyone else the season, and I’m pretty sure that one of our most-tweeted lines this season was “SLAAAAAM DEKKER”.

If his shot develops this offseason, Dekker could become a really dangerous piece off the bench. He’s got loads of potential.
