Phoenix Suns

Phoenix Suns receive: C DeAndre Jordan, PG Jawun Evans, 2018 LAC 1st round pick
LA Clippers receive: C Tyson Chandler, SG/SF Josh Jackson, SG Davon Reed

The Phoenix Suns are in need of a name. Devin Booker is an up-incoming star in the NBA, but DeAndre Jordan is an All-Star. Around the 2017 draft, DJ had been tied to Phoenix, but clearly, nothing came of it.

Tyson Chandler was the 2nd pick of the 2001 draft by the Clippers and is half the player he used to be. The former Defensive Player of the Year and 2011 NBA Champion is currently being paid $13 million dollars a year to soak up the Arizona sun. He is grabbing 9 rebounds per game this season, which is impressive for a 35 year old past-his-prime center.

Josh Jackson has ironically been one of the few bright spots in the Suns season. Aside from Devin Booker and TJ Warren, Josh Jackson is their only young piece that really contributed. He still has a ways to go on improving his shot, but his perimeter defense is good and only going to get better.

Davon Reed is a lesser known player, but he still has potential. His shot needs some work done, but he can become a solid backup wing for any team.

As stated, the Suns want a star. DJ fills that role and can provide interior defense for the team while he’s at it.

Jawun Evans may be a reliable piece for the Suns backcourt. Evans is a competent, young, point guard, which is something that the Suns would appreciate.

If the Suns don’t feel like rolling with Evans in the future, they could always use the Clippers pick to grab a new floor general. Some point guards projected to go in the late lottery are Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Collin Sexton. Both of which would fit with the young core in Phoenix.
