Los Angeles Clippers host the Nuggets with playoffs on the line

The Los Angeles Clippers look to bounce back at home vs Denver as they finish off their last homestand of the season.

Your Los Angeles Clippers play host to the Denver Nuggets in today’s contest as both teams are still fighting for playoff position. The Clips enter this game after falling to the Utah Jazz on Thursday, while the Nuggets are coming off of a very crucial win vs the Timberwolves.

In the last meeting between these two ball clubs on February 27th, the Clips overcame a 19-point deficit in the 3rd quarter by the huge contribution of Boban Marjanovic, who was a +27 and had 18 points and 6 rebounds in only 15 minutes of action. The Clips ended up winning 122-120 in what was an amazing comeback effort from the group.

Entering Today’s Matchup

The Clippers (42-37) will look to bounce back against the Nuggets (44-35), as they never really got it going versus Utah on Thursday. The Clippers hold a (2-0) season series lead over Denver and if they manage to win this one, it will be the first time since the 91′-92′ season that the Clips will sweep the season series against the Nuggets.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets are looking to maintain in playoff seed contention as they are currently the 9th Seed in the West. The Nuggets rank 7th in the league in rebounds per game so if the Clips can pull this out they must win the rebound battle.

The Clips will be without the likes of Patrick Beverley (right knee surgery), Danilo Gallinari (fractured right hand), Avery Bradley (Hernia Surgery), Milos Teodosic (Torn Left Planter Fascia), and rookie guard Jawun Evans (Hernia Surgery).
