Long Live Boban

There are certain teams that deploying Boban against makes sense, such as the Nuggets. He works as a spark plug and may cause opposing coaches to try and match him with their own big man. However, for those that don’t fall into the trap, offsetting Boban’s scoring becomes quite simple.

This also isn’t to take away from Bobi. The big man obviously works on his game and his body, but it just isn’t to the point where he can be a big minute rotation player, much less a starter like some vocal fans have called for on Twitter. Boban may make incremental increases in his game, which would be amazing, but to think he’ll develop into a starter is wishful thinking.

We love Bobi here at Clipperholics. He’s an amazing person and we want him to be part of the future. However, we as fans have to temper our expectations and appreciate him for who he is. Not every player can be a star, but there can only be one Boban.
