TORONTO, ON - MARCH 25: Milos Teodosic

Per multiple reports, Los Angeles Clippers Rookie Milos Teodosic has a torn plantar fascia in his left foot and will be out indefinitely.

Los Angeles Clippers Guard Milos Teodosic has a torn plantar fascia in his left foot and will be held out of play without a timetable for his return. According to the LA Times’ Brad Turner, he will be reevaluated in two weeks.

Teodosic appeared to injure his left foot in the first half of Tuesday night’s game vs. the Milwaukee Bucks. At the time, he was having one of his most efficient shooting performances of the season, making his first four three-point attempts. He was held out of the remainder of the game and did not play in Wednesday’s game against the Suns. Instead, fellow rookie Tyrone Wallace started in his place, scoring 12 points.

The same foot injury had required Teodosic to miss 22 games earlier in the season. The 31-year-old rookie from Serbia is averaging 9.5 points and 4.6 assists per game.

Wallace will likely take over as the team’s starting point guard for the time being, barring an unlikely return from Patrick Beverley.

Injury woes have haunted the Clippers all season long. Currently, Avery Bradley, Danilo Gallinari, and Beverley are all sidelined with serious injuries. Bradley and Beverley will likely remain out for the year, while Gallinari could return as early as tonight.

With the Clippers pushing for the playoffs, an injury to Teodosic is the last thing the team needed. Already hobbled by injured guards, Wallace and Jawun Evans will have to take on a larger role.

Wallace has impressed in 13 starts this season, averaging 11.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.

Teodosic could eventually return in the playoffs, assuming the Clippers earn a spot. However, this could very well be the last we see of him this year.
