Following their stay in Toronto, LA Clippers Head Coach Doc Rivers shared a video of his coaching staff being rescued from a hotel elevator.

The LA Clippers went into Toronto and earned a gutsy win, against great odds. However, that may not have been the craziest thing that happened over the weekend.

On Sunday night, LA Clippers Head Coach Doc Rivers shared a video on his Instagram page of his coaching staff being rescued from an elevator by the Toronto Fire Department. According to Rivers, they were trapped inside for 45 minutes.

Sam Cassell and Mike Woodson are among those seen being assisted out of the elevator and onto the ground. Luckily, everyone is safe.

Rivers linked the incident to the team’s come-from-behind victory over the Toronto Raptors, stating that “we just keep climbing out”.

The win was certainly an interesting one, like Rivers said. After trailing by as many as 18 points, the Clippers came back and defeated the Raptors by 11. With the win, LA swept the season series against the top team in the Eastern Conference.

Lou Williams scored a game-high 26 points, and Montrezl Harrell recorded 19 points and 6 rebounds in just 19 minutes. Boban Marjanovic stole the show late, going for 4 points, 3 rebounds, and a block in 6 minutes.

It may have been an interesting weekend, but now it’s time for the Clippers to focus. With a tough stretch ahead of them, this next week could make or break their season.

On Tuesday, the Clippers will be back at home to take on the Milwaukee Bucks. The following night, they’ll meet the Suns in Phoenix.

This alone doesn’t sound awful. However, the next 6 games are against playoff-caliber teams that are all fending for position. This includes the Trail Blazers, Pacers, Spurs, Jazz, Nuggets, and Pelicans.

Rivers might need to get a little more interesting if he hopes to win out.
