Patrick Beverley (8) vs. Lamar Odom (9)
There are going to be a lot of closely-contested matchups in this region, and this will be no exception.
Patrick Beverley
We haven’t seen much of Patrick Beverley in a Clippers uniform, but we don’t need to. We know who he is just as well as he does.
What I mean by that is that Beverley doesn’t try to be something he isn’t. He’s a good offensive guard, but he doesn’t let that dictate his style of play. For Pat, it’s all defense. First Team, to be exact.
He hasn’t played since November due to surgery, but that hasn’t kept from being active with the team. On most nights, you’ll find Beverley sitting on the bench with his teammates, yelling and coaching them from the sidelines. He’s a true teammate, and the fans love him. If he advances, it could make for an interesting second-round matchup with Maggette.
Lamar Odom
Lamar Odom was dedicated to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Drafted by the team in 1999, Odom spent his first four seasons in Los Angeles, including an electrifying rookie campaign. He spent some time after that with the *other* LA team, but would go on to spend his final season with the Clippers.
Part of a young core, Odom fit in perfectly with Darius Miles and Elton Brand. He spent his best years with the Lakers, but still gave a lot to the Clipper faithful.
