Quentin Richardson (6) vs. Chauncey Billups (11)
It’s a battle of the nicknames as we venture further through the Shooters Region. Who you got: Q-RIch or Mr. Big Shot?
Quentin Richardson
Another player that gave us the best years of his career, Quentin Richardson was part of a special era of LA Clippers basketball.
On the same roster as Elton Brand, Corey Maggette, Lamar Odom and Darius Miles, the young core provided a sense of optimism about the franchise that had been missing for decades. They were supposed to be the next big thing. They also gave us one of the most memorable SLAM Magazine covers ever.
Richardson scored 17.2 points per game during his final season in Los Angeles, connecting on 40% of his field goal attempts.
Still, he’ll always be remembered for his “Antennas Up” celebration.
Chauncey Billups
Chauncey Billups spent two of his final three seasons in Los Angeles, and despite his advanced age, he was productive.
He scored 15 points per game in a shortened first season and 8.4 in the next, as well as shooting a combined 92% from the stripe.
He also hit a game-winner over the Dallas Mavericks in 2012, and gave the Lakers hell with a 23-point performance in his Clippers debut.
