Los Angeles Clippers’ Fan Favorite Bracket: Shooters Region
Chris Paul (1) vs. Jared Dudley (16)
The first matchup in the Shooters region features arguably the greatest Clipper of all time against one of his former teammates.
Chris Paul
Was there ever a doubt that Chris Paul, the quintessential Clipper, wouldn’t earn a 1 seed in our bracket?
Despite being known as a pass-first point guard, Paul flirted with 50/40/90 shooting splits year in and year out during his tenure in Los Angeles. His most notable numbers came during the 2014-2015 campaign, in which Paul shot 48.5/39.8/90.0.
He was beloved by Clippers fans all over the world, and his game-winner against the San Antonio Spurs in 2015 will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Leave the regular stuff for the kiddies — Paul’s veins are filled with dry ice.
Jared Dudley
God love him, but Jared Dudley just never fit in with Doc Rivers’s Clippers.
He may not have lived up to his true potential in LA, but Dudley has a respected personality and knowledge of the game that makes him invaluable. He also has a reputation for being an all-around “good guy”.
Dudley shot 36% from deep in his lone season with the Clippers, but his poor free throw percentage made him an unreliable option in close games.
He doesn’t have a chance at dethroning the great CP3, but I’m sure someone will vote for Dudley out of spite.
